TEXT NEEDS RESOLVING


The existing workshop complex consists of the workshop itself, offices, decommissioned service station, machine shop, and associated amenities, connected by a 250 sqm undercover courtyard.

These structures are part of a larger interconnected complex of buildings with a history of over 65 years of varied retail, commercial and industrial uses.

Tied to the original development of a tourist establishment in 1954, they housed a general store, tea rooms, service station & workshop ,builders joinery shop, holiday cabins, tennis court, nursery, hire car, freight depot,  and plant hire business.

Later approval was granted for a caravan park, licensed club, automotive repairs, and engineering facilities.

There has been a gradual transition away from heavier industrial uses of the site in recent years, but has retained its association with motoring xxxx

Industry and has evolved to industrial arts with xxxxxx

In October 2026, include Reg Mombassa Studio, LuMu Gardens, and a Library/Reading Room.

Several more spaces will be me made available by expressions of interest in the next 12 months, with further plans to adaptively reuse more of the complex in line with the 1954 development to create a unique hybrid tourist  / cultural/ enterprise centre.
