The first race meeting on the main circuit was a motorcycle event held on the 26th February 1967, run by the Amaroo Country Sporting Club.

The first car meeting on the main circuit was run by the Amaroo Country Sporting Club on the 12th March 1967. The footage and program cover below are from the first open car meeting, a month later.
